How the transfer process works
- Tell DomainZW the domain name and current registrar.
- A release request is sent to the current registrar.
- The current registrar approves the release.
- DomainZW submits the transfer through the ZISPA process.
- The domain appears in your DomainZW dashboard after processing.
Will the website go offline?
A registrar transfer should not change your website files, hosting account, or DNS records by itself. The goal is to move domain administration, not interrupt the live website.
What you need before starting
Have the domain name, current registrar details if known, and access to the email address used for the domain. DomainZW can guide you if you are not sure who currently manages it.
